The crazy thing about the weather in London, is that the cold and heavy rain always has a way of catching up with us, during warm months! So it's only right to be dressed the part, right? And wearing black always does the trick.

For some reason, I always feel like black makes you look so chic on a grey cold day. I've always loved winter style, and even though it's not winter, a good coat could save you beyond measure. I paired this tailored coat with some casual ripped jeans and boots. The thing I love about formal coats is that they can always be toned down to casual-chic simply by wearing casual jeans and a top. This All Saints coat (similar here) is my ultimate favourite coat. I always feel like I can wear this coat over a causal outfit because it can look similar to a long tailored blazer which umphs my outfit up a bit.

My tip to you, would be to invest in a good black coat. This is a staple item that you will always need in winter, autumn, spring etc. This coat can be worn at work or a dinner night out. Play with textures, pair a casual jean with a turtle neck for some contrast and chicness. I love a black turtle neck with almost everything because its so diverse yet so sexy. You don't always need to wear revealing clothing to be sexy. A turtle neck paired with a skirt, tight pants, always looks good.
