Hey loves! So it’s been a minute or so..
I’ve been so preoccupied with work last couple of months as explained (i think) in my previous post but regardless of that, I hope you are all doing well. I feel so disconnected from you all.. but I’m glad we are ‘reunited and it feels so good’.
So what have you been up to? What’s Gucci?.. so as some of you might know, some might not know, together with a friend of mine Sara Adank form @trufflesnchampagne, we’ve been hosting a few personal shopping events for brands. It’s a great time because we get to chat and share some styling tips/advice and present the latest collection to our clients. The most recent personal shopping experience, we hosted was for Gucci, where we presented Alessandro Michelle’s pre-fall collection 2017. One of my favourite thing about his latest collection, was his ability to incorporate the 70’s Disco theme into today’s contemporary setting. I love how we see, prints, florals and disco coming alive in such an effortless, youthful and fun way.
Gucci has definitely been the brand that everyone has their eye on off late, but I think it’s purely because no matter how different we all are, we can always find a piece in the collection that resonates with us. This blazer, was obviously a piece that resonated with me the most. We all know how colour for me can be quiet a push… but funny enough I did not feel that way when picking my outfit.
I love how easily all these items can be worn differently. My outfit are all the perfect essential pieces to have in your closet. I love this blazer can be worn casually and formally as well as the skirt. I speak about all the time, but I believe in getting the best wear out of investment pieces such as these.
An oversized blazer, with a cute mini skirt is a great way to incorporate an androgynous piece into your feminine outfit. Tone the skirt down, with a t-shirt and slide some white sneakers or slides on for a casual day. Going formal? Pair the skirt, with a cute sandal heel, and bodysuit top or flirty blouse. It’s always great to play around with items to get the best out of them… try it!
